I am looking for a couple of hand operated sewing machines to us in sewing workshops on the Big Green Bus. http://www.thebiggreenidea.org/
If anyone has something like this that they would be willing to part with, I can assure you that they will go to a very good new home where they will be used to show other people how to sew.

Hi Brigit
I've got a machine that does have a motor on it, but it's an added one rather than originally with the machine. The motor unfortunately has stopped working and could be removed easily. Is that of any interest? As the motor's dead I've had to stop using it (I don't have the patience for hand sewing!) but it's an old Singer model - in very good condition. I'd be happy to part with it knowing it was going to somewhere that it would be valued.
