Thanks lovelies . I'll bear that in mind for my next projects if they go a bit curly Aberlemno.

I'd love a proper piano stool. We bought a new one this year, couldn't find an old one anywhere, and it does the job but it's soul-less . Looking forward to seeing your photos .

If we had known this in August I could have taken it to her.

Knitting is going well, I have the back and sleeve of a cardi done and the back, part of a sleeve and half the front of the jumper for DD2. Not been doing it too much becuase its been nice and we have been outside.

Oh, pants, all, I need advice --

There's a quilt in a box downstairs that I started 10 years ago. I've completely lost the will to work on it.

As part of our move prep (yes, it's a year off. If I start now we might make it), I'm cleaning out the basement. Do I put this thing in a box and ship it off to my dear MIL, who's a ribbon-winning quilter, or do I hang on to it in the hope that I will wake up one morning and blaze through it?

Amalie... I would choose the box option. It won't be wasted, it will only be finished. my two pence' worth only!
